Chat show host Oprah Winfrey has teamed up with Weight Watchers for a long-term partnership which will see her act as a member (sharing her experiences along the way), board member and advisor.

Winfrey, who has also bought a 10% stake in the business, commented 'Weight Watchers has given me the tools to begin to make the lasting shift that I and so many of us who are struggling with weight have longed for. I believe in the programme so much I decided to invest in the company and partner in its evolution'.
